RIM Solutions Submit JV Proposal

RIM Solutions · Joint-Venture Studio

We build and co-own the technology ventures we work in.

RIM Solutions is a three-partner studio. We bring technical architecture, strategic operations and lead-generation systems to one venture at a time, alongside the people who run it day to day.

We are operators, not an agency. We build the venture and keep a stake in it, so our return rides on the venture's rather than on a fee for advice. The engine on this page is the first thing under this roof.

The three partners

Three operators, three jobs. We publish their names and their roles with their agreement, and there is no fourth signature.

01

Ian Surratt

Strategic Operations & Executive Leadership

Sets how a venture runs: the operating model, the commercial plan, and the build kept in step with both. Holds the scope when it starts to drift.

02

Malcolm Richardson

Technical Architecture & Infrastructure

Owns the architecture of what gets built: the data, the systems underneath it, and the decisions that decide whether a thing still works when it grows.

03

Ronald Pipkins

Business Development & High-Touch Conversions

Brings the venture to the people who buy: partnerships, the first conversation, and the deals that need a human at the other end of them.

RIM Solutions is the trading name: R for Ronald Pipkins, I for Ian Surratt, M for Malcolm Richardson. The initials are the founders'.

The R.I.M. scouting engine

R.I.M. is a Transfer Portal scouting and athlete-evaluation engine for college recruitment. Football comes first. It is in development, and it has no measured results to publish yet.

1

Read the portal

It starts with what the Transfer Portal already shows the public: who is available, at what position, with what history. Nothing private, and nothing taken from behind a login.

2

Evaluate against the need

A programme says what it is short of. The engine weighs the available players against that in plain terms a coach can argue with, and says why each name is on the list.

3

Hand it to a coach

What comes out is a shortlist with the reasons attached, ordered by how much they matter. The coach decides. The engine signs nobody and ranks nobody as verified.

What the fit score reads

Every athlete is scored on seven dimensions. How much each one counts is set by the programme's own needs, and the weighting changes by sport: the football preset is not the basketball preset. The exact weighting is the engine's own, and we keep it that way.

Performance

What the athlete has produced on the field, measured against the level they played at.

Positional need

How short the programme actually is at that position, against its own depth chart.

Eligibility fit

How many years the athlete can play, weighed against the window the programme is recruiting into.

Academic fit

Whether the athlete's academic record clears the programme's own requirements.

Location fit

Distance and geography, which decide whether a recruitment is realistic at all.

Grad rate priority

How much the programme weighs graduation outcomes in the athletes it takes.

Culture fit

How the athlete's profile lines up with how the programme says it runs.

Sample data

A sample readout

One illustration of the shape of an engine report for a single athlete. The athlete is invented and every figure in the bars is illustrative, so it shows what the readout looks like rather than what the engine has achieved. It is not a real recruit, not a real report and not a measured result.

Sample athlete: outside linebacker, two seasons of eligibility remaining.

The bars show the sample values the score reads for this invented athlete. They are not the weighting the engine applies. That weighting is the engine's own and it is not on this page.

These are the dimensions the score reads. The weighting behind them is not published, and nothing here is a claim about accuracy. No dimension is scored from anything behind a login, and no athlete is ranked as verified.

What this page does not claim

No accuracy figureThe engine has not been measured against a real recruitment cycle, so there is no accuracy rate, hit rate or success rate to quote. When there is one it will be counted, not estimated.
No coverage claimNo programme, conference or division is described as covered. What it reads is the Transfer Portal as published.
No ownership claimThis page does not say who owns or operates the infrastructure behind the engine. That is not settled, and it is not something to imply with a sentence.
No NCAA affiliationR.I.M. is an independent project. It is not affiliated with the NCAA, and nothing here suggests endorsement, certification or verification by the NCAA or by any governing body.

Athlete data is the whole subject matter, so the statement further down this page is the serious part of it rather than a footnote.

What a joint venture with RIM Solutions looks like

We do not sell a service and leave. We take a stake in the thing we build, and we stay in it. That is the whole proposition, and it is why the fit matters more than the fee.

Operators with something that already sells

You have customers and a product that works. You need the systems, the site and the pipeline to carry more of it without hiring a department.

Founders with a build in mind

You know what the product is and who it is for. You need architecture underneath it and someone who owns the commercial side.

Companies with a venture to spin out

Something inside the business should stand on its own. You want partners who take equity in it rather than a fee out of it.

Investors who want to work in the deal

You are putting money into a venture and you want operators inside it, not advisers outside it.

1

Send the proposal

One email is enough: what the venture is, who is behind it, and what you want from a partner. The address is at the bottom of this page.

2

A first conversation

Half an hour with the three of us, and no deck required. We ask the questions a partner asks, not the ones a vendor asks.

3

Written scope, then a decision

If it looks like ours to build, you get the scope, the split and the exit in writing before any work starts. If it is not, we tell you so.

We promise no returns. What we offer instead is alignment: we take a stake and we stay in it, so we are paid when the venture is. Ask any partner what their incentive is: ours is written into the deal.

Athlete data, and what is not built yet

R.I.M.'s subject matter is athlete data, so this is a statement of commitments and a list of what is missing, not a description of a system that exists.

What we hold to: athlete information would be handled for recruitment purposes only, on the narrowest basis that works, and never sold. Consent, age and record-keeping for the athletes involved, and especially for anyone under eighteen, are treated as blocking questions rather than as paperwork for later.

What is not built yet: there is no consent flow, no age gating, no retention or deletion process, and no FERPA or equivalent review in place. Nothing on this site should be read as saying otherwise, and it is a recorded open item on our side rather than a finished commitment.

There is no contact form on this page and no analytics on it. The only way to reach a human is the email address below, and it goes to one inbox.

Put a venture in front of us

If you are building something that needs architecture, an operating model and a door opened, send it to us in one email. We read all of them, and we answer with a yes, a no, or a question.

That address is interim: rimsolutions.org has no mail yet, so it goes to the Owner's working inbox until the domain does. It is the address the build ships with, and it is flagged in DEPLOY.md.
